The new volume of the Yearbook of Private International Law (2014/2015) is no less compre-hensive and thought-provoking than its forerunners. Highlights of this new collection of essays include, on the commercial front, a full analysis of jurisdiction in contractual and non-contractual matters with proposals for legislative reform, a review of protective measure jurisdiction within the new Brussels Ibis Regulation, and the intractable problem of international software contracts. On the family law side, the book offers a whole section on international child custody as well as a thoughtful discussion on cross-border surrogacy and the challenged posed by this increasing phenomenon.
